SCOOP 2015 is one of the biggest and richest tournaments of the year with millions of dollars in prize money up for grabs. The seventh leg of the championship kicks off on May 10 with a packed schedule right up to May 24. The guaranteed prize pool is a mind blowing $40,000,000 with $7,000,000 alone to be won in three Main Events on May 24.
A variety of buy-in events and formats
Much like the previous events, SCOOP 2015 will feature low, medium and high buy-in events that will run simultaneously. The time between blind levels vary based on the buy-in. The three main events with a guaranteed $7,000,000 prize pool features buy-ins of $109, $1,050, and $10,300. This is undoubtedly one of the most exciting events hosted by PokerStars featuring different types of poker variants. No and Fixed-limit Hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, hi-lo, H.O.R.S.E, and five card draw, are just a few games in the first leg. Events will be held in different formats that includes freeze-out tournaments, re-buys, heads-up, four-max, Zoom, and more.
New n-stack format tournaments
SCOOP 2015 will feature n-stack format tournaments with 1,000 starting chips. These tournaments are similar to re-buy tournaments where players can re-buy four times for free throughout the specified period. Players can start with 1,000 chips and re-buy up to 5,000 chips. Alternatively, they can set aside chips and opt to re-buy one to three times.
Entry through satellites and qualifiers
The good news is that there are plenty of seats than can be won through satellites and qualifiers running daily. These events feature buy-ins from as little as $0.11 or 1 Frequent Player Point. There is a special $400,000 Main Event tickets up for grabs via the SCOOP All-in Shootout Deposit Raffle tournament on May 22, giving poker players the chance to win a $10,300 buy-in for free.
PokerStars SCOOP 2015 will feature 46 events with a total of 138 tournaments spread over three tiers. The Main Event is scheduled for May 24 with massive guarantees on offer across the tiers. The winner is guaranteed to take home at least $1,000,000 if not much more.
